Animal Services

Starting July 1st, 2024, The Colton Police Department will partner up with the City of San Bernardino Department of Animal Services along with the cities of Fontana, and Rialto, in addition to San Bernardino,                       Loma Linda, and Grand Terrace.

What this means for our Community

  • Increased Capacity
  • Enhanced Support such as new resources and programs to assist pet owners and reduce the number of animals in the shelter.
  • Community Cats Program
    • Cats are free-roaming pets in our communities.
  • TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return): The most effective method to reduce cat populations.

Let’s work together by ensuring pets stay in their neighborhoods and using community resources, we can reduce the number of animals in our shelter.
